Below is a listing of mosaics made in the Monastery Workshop that are currently available for purchase. All items are original pieces of art. Since most of our work is done on commission, the availability of mosaics for immediate sale is low. If you would like to commission a mosaic, please contact the Monastery. You may also sign up to be on our Email List, which we use to announce the availability of icons and mosaics that are not commissioned and are available for immediate purchase.

This mosaic is made with genuine smalti (enameled glass) and stone tesserae. It is framed in a black metal floater style frame (without glass) and has an attached wire so it can easily be hung on a wall.

Based on an early Christian floor mosaic in the town of Tagaba, where the miracle of the mulitplication of the loaves and fishes occurred, this mosaic is made with stone tesserae. It is framed in a black metal floater style frame (without glass) and has an attached wire so it can easily be hung on a wall.

These mosaics are handmade with genuine smalti
tesserae (enameled glass) and gold leaf tesserae.
They are inset into solid blocks of wood that are
thick enough to stand alone on a shelf. There is also
a hole in the back so it can be hung on a wall with a
small nail. The wooden frames are also made at the
Monastery by the monks. Three different types of wood
are used.
The mosaics come in nine different combinations using three different colors and with three different types of wood. The photos above are for reference only. Each mosaic is handmade and subtle variations occur from one mosaic to the other.
